As we ditched the hot days of summer we now welcome the cool nudge of early mornings. September appeared to arrive subtly, like a guest at a house party full of strangers. The transition from the hazy days of summer to the crisp autumn air is marked by the changing colors of leaves, shorter days, apple picking, and harvest festivals. September's arrival is also a reminder of our wardrobe change, where we eventually have to ditch t-shirts for hoodies or don blazers and sweaters. Fall is probably my favorite time of year because I have more fashion options and of course, football. As our kids go back to school and we reminisce about our summer vacations, fall provides us with sort of a reboot. We become more focused on our jobs, develop more of a routine, and start planning for the holidays ahead.
September is also Hispanic Heritage month and I’m so honored to feature two amazing Latinas for our cover story. During our fashion photoshoot on location with our Director of Photography James Gustin, I uncovered more about their journey from childhood to where they are now. Although they have both taken two different paths to success, their stories of perseverance and excellence are inspiring. I hope you enjoy all of our articles in this month’s Fall Fashion issue and happy apple picking!
