Changing Lives, Laws, and Turning Protests into Progress
He is a four-time national award winning attorney who is out to change things. Todd Belcore is the Executive Director of Social Change, an organization committed to liberation and disrupting systems through uplifting community and freedom-fighting organizations, advocacy, technology and culture. He is also the Founding Partner of a software start-up called Solve. He leverages both worlds to use every tool available to lead and support efforts to transform lives and communities and has changed nearly 20 laws and helped millions of people, as a result. This month Social Change is hosting ChangeFest, an epic, 3-day experience that brings together creators, doers and good people from all over the world to celebrate our common humanity through film, fashion, art, music.
The line up of events include inspiring films providing the blueprint for creating change, including an educational film with Matt Damon, and films regarding our environment, abuse, racism, veterans, worker's rights, justice reform, the death penalty, alternative energy, healthcare, HIV, immigration and more.
Special guests include Michael Jai White, Richard Gallion, and Greg Kaston. Actress and comedienne Kym Whitley will conduct a book signing and there will be performances and appearances by Sir the Baptist, Leon Robinson aka "Leon", Leon & The Peoples, M.A.A.S.A.I., along with other incredible local performers.
Guests will also enjoy a fashion show by Glenn Duvall Pettway, who has designed garments for notable dignitaries and celebrities such as Nelson Mandela and Patti LaBelle.
