He was our hero, our everything. He led such a fascinating and admirable life, yet he was so humble that you never knew it. All he wanted was for my mom, sister and I to be better than he was.
Everything he did had a reason. He lead a simple Socratic life. Nothing ever went to waste. He was always learning whatever he could, whenever he could. He was brilliant, environmentally conscious, hard working, disciplined, funny, and the most honest man that those who crossed paths with him had ever met. As an international lawyer, he wouldn’t even take a case where he thought
that his client could
be guilty, no matter
how much money was
on the table.
I will never take for
granted all of the time
that we spent
together, all of our
adventures, the
numerous lessons that
he taught me, and
how he would always
do the right thing,
even when he knew
that nobody was
watching.
My Pappou was like a
father figure to us. He
taught me to drive,
helped pay for our
education. Needless to
say, he played one of
the most significant
roles in our lives.
I often told him that he
had to outlive me, so
that I would never be
without him.
