Anne Hathaway

COLOSSAL: Anne Hathaway spearheaded this film endeavor in the newest genre-blending film at TIFF. Written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis bring us on a journey of horror, comedy, and drama. Gloria (Hathaway) parties way too much, finds herself back in her hometown

and reconnects with an old buddy,

Oscar (Sudeikis). Halfway around

the world a bizarre monster is

destroying Seoul. Gloria, trying

desperately, but unsuccessfully, to

straighten out her life, realizes there

is a connection between the monster

and her! Hathaway is our heroine,

paving the road for wonderful new

roles for women and Sudeikis goes

to the dark side showing us that he

can do so much more than comedy.

This is truly a unique and genuinely

creative film that was a sleeper hit at

TIFF.

Other notable films from the fest included: "The Unknown Girl," “Mascots,” “Wakefield,” "Trespass Against Us,"Julieta," "Half A Man," "After the Storm," "Unless," “Mali Blues,” "Certain Women," “City of Tiny Lights” and "Mali Blues." TIFF gives us the best of mainstream and independent films, allowing us to escape, see things through others'

eyes, ride an emotional roller

coaster, and even learn a few

things.Top all of this off with

an exuberant atmosphere

and the biggest stars walking

the red carpet and you

have the best of the fests.
