They strive to tell the stories of all former residents of Travellers Rest more accurately, including those enslaved, members of native communities who resided on this land prior to 1799, and property owners and their descendants. These tours are great for both kids and adults that are willing and open to learning more about the Civil War, Reconstruction, and the aftermath of war.
Nashville pretty much checked all of the boxes of everything that I was hoping to experience and more. My direct flight from Chicago to Nashville was super easy, which is why I think a lot of Midwest folks migrated that way during the pandemic. I also learned that a lot of West Coast residents moved to the area, which has really driven up the cost of real estate. Although home and rental prices have shot up the cost of living is still considerably less than Chicago, New York, and LA. I could see Nashville being a great getaway during the holidays, for a long 3-day weekend, girls’ trip, and even for spring break. The city is eager to tell its story through their many venues and attractions. The Brand Promise of Nashville is where music is inspired, created, recorded and performed. It is a unique city. It is Music City.
