come to mind when I think about my most recent trip to Nashville, TN. Although I had heard amazing things about how this Southern city transformed over the last several years, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a whole lot more than what I expected.

Nashville is a lot of bit country, a little bit cosmopolitan, with a huge dose of history. It’s a much smaller town when compared to Chicago or New York with a population of about 700,000, but when including the metro areas, the population spikes to approximately 1.3 million.

Nashville is a booming city that saw one hundred people per day relocating to the area during the pandemic. Because of that incredible growth the city has recently introduced around 200 new restaurants and added about 2000 new hotel rooms to accommodate tourism and conventions that come to town. I stayed at two very different, but nice upscale hotels. The Noelle is a boutique luxurious hotel located in downtown Nashville.

nice upscale hotels. The Noelle is a boutique luxurious hotel located in downtown Nashville. The building that houses the Noelle was built in 1930 and was formerly a bank but in 2017 it was converted to a hotel. The Noelle was designed to highlight the history of the building from the time you check in to how you grab your coffee in the morning. They have a rooftop bar that has incredible views of the city, and the lower level of the Noelle houses an intimate speakeasy (Hidden Bar) that allows guests to grab European classic cocktails on any given night, but you must be able find the storage room to get in! My last two nights were spent at Hotel Fraye, Nashville’s newest hotel located in Midtown. Hotel Fraye is part of Hilton’s Curio Collection and has residencies available for rental right next door. The luxury suite, gym, and the pool’s bar and restaurant are the highlights of this hotel.
