Glassware – I saved this for last as I feel this is something that is earned with the passage of time. As a young bride I had such a mix and match of water glasses, coffee mugs and cheap wine glasses that would hold everything from a prosecco to a red or white wine to even that of a vodka club soda. My kitchen real estate was limited so multi-purpose glassware made sense.

And then around the age of 40 I grew up! I attended dinner parties; cocktail fundraisers and I went to Napa. That is when I finally saw my glassware was a hot mess and needed to be rectified!! I believe every entertainer’s kitchen must have quality sets of glassware where each glass serves a purpose. Quality is the key with glassware especially when it comes to wine glasses. This is what I consider the glassware essentials for a home: Matching Set of 12: red wine glasses, white wine glasses, champagne flutes, water glasses, whisky glasses, coffee cups. I also recently purchased Coupe Glasses which are not only beautiful but are multi-purpose cocktail glasses, making for a fun new edition!

There is this sweet saying “the kitchen is the heart of the home” When you invest in some of the best kitchen accessories, it will naturally lead to more kitchen living. There are so many wonderful products and gadgets that enhance a kitchen and help step up one’s cooking game. In sharing just 5 of my favorite items, which I neglected to add to my registry, I hope will inspire you to survey what you have, what you use and don’t use, and what you should invest in so that you will spend even more time in the heart of your home.
