prices and changed their tag

line to “most items cost 99 cents.” I was not at all fazed. The 99 Cents Only Store for me has been a holiday decorating mecca for years. My Mom introduced me to it and other discount stores she would go to, to supplement her extensive collection of holiday decor.

From Pic N’ Save to Dollar Tree, I have seen a substantial change in the quality of their holiday decorations year-round. In fact, a lot of their items are on par with beautiful decor from TJ MAXX HomeGoods also a favorite for one-of-a-kind items. I have great pieces from Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Only Store and other discount stores I have collected over 15 plus years. Without Dollar Tree and 99 Cents Only Store, our yearly Halloween party would not leave a lasting impression on our guests.

The Dia De Los Muertos metallic trimmed plates, gift bag treats, pumpkins that light up and witches that screech and illuminate throughout the house all stand out. Or the scary ghosts hanging from our memorable New York holiday window displays I design to the delight of our neighborhood, especially young kids excited for this time of year. Without these stores, our graveyard would not be what it is, and it’s a sight to see especially at $15 tops for everything. Every year, I spend around $40 on new stuff from these stores which always feels like a lot more. The quality of the decor creates an ambience that shocks many not aware of the cost for such excess.
