After sharing yak tea with the local family, I continued my journey and enjoyed the spectacular views of the Tibetan Plateau, holy lakes, and payer flags that were flapping in the wind. The flags 5 colors are symbols of air, water, fire, sky, and earth. People believe that on the wings of the wind, the prayers and mantras can be spread all over the world and can bring longevity, happiness, and prosperity to those who hang the flags. I also met Tibetan mountain nomads, who’s knowledge of nature has been passed down from generation to generation over thousands of years and are able to sustain their outdoor lifestyle and adjust to the highest altitude on the planet. Even though the industrialization has changed the daily life of Tibet by using motorcycles and cars, yaks are still considered as a symbol of the Tibetan way of life.

My last destination was a visit to the highest monastery called Rongbuk. From there, weather permitting, you can see Mount Everest - the highest mountain in the world. The Tibetan name is Mount Qomolangma, which means “ Mother Goddess of the world “. Even though I was close to the mountain heavy rain clouds were hanging didn’t allow me to make acquaintance with the majestic beauty. Maybe it was a sign for me to return and complete my mission. I discovered that Tibet was not only a movie on the screen that captured my attention, but a dream for me which became an adventure reality.
