f someone would ask me
the best place I visited
thus far, I’d answer
without any hesitation “Tibet”. After watching the movie “7 years in Tibet” many years ago, I became fascinated by the culture, spirituality of Tibetan people, remote monasteries, holy lakes, prayer wheels, flags, and the natural beauty of the Tibetan Plateau. During my years spent in China, where geographically I was just couple of hours away from Tibet by flight, I was determined to go there. After a few weeks of an intense bureaucracy procedure, I was finally granted a Tibet travel permit to be allowed to enter this Himalayan place.
