White: Classic White Great Gatsby Wedding by Jamie O’ + Co
A Great Gatsby-themed wedding sets the stage for the ever timeless, romantic and classic elements that many couples choose to incorporate in their big day. This Orlando wedding exemplified the romantic white wedding with a dash of blue. Jessalyn’s vintage dress and crystal headband stunned all guests as she made her first appearance at the all-white styled ceremony. The bridal bouquets, made up of bundles of calla lilies and embellished with pearls and ostrich feathers, captured the elegance of the Gatsby era. Inside the reception, tables were draped with elegant white linens with blue accents. The tabletops were decorated with white hydrangeas and tall, dramatic calla lilies that were draped with pearls. Bringing the decor to a new level, the focal point of the head table was gold candelabras that held classic white taper candles. As the evening came to a close, Jessalyn & Johnathan’s white wedding dazzled guests as the couple made their grand exit through a white cloud effect before descending the grand staircase. With the talents of Jamie O’ + Co, this beautifully ornate event perfectly captured the essence of a classic and timeless white wedding.
Blue: American Cancer Society’s
Discovery Ball
Since 2005, the American Cancer Society’s Discovery Ball has proved to be one of the most successful fundraising efforts in Chicago with more than $25 million raised to contribute to cancer research and services. The 2016 party theme was “Soar Beyond,” shedding light on the dream of a cancer-free world. Over 800 people came together for a philanthropic evening filled with star-studded performances, including a set from country singer, Hunter Hayes. HMR Designs’ VP of Sales and Design, Rishi Patel, filled the Hilton ballroom with many dreamlike elements, including sky-high clouds, stunning florals and butterflies. From the white fluffy hydrangeas and cloud centerpieces to the white textured linens, the “Soar Beyond” theme was evident from table to table. With a special thanks to Frost Chicago and HMR Designs, this inspiring blue event exceeded the dreams of many.
