You don't have to eat like a bird or train like a triathlete to have a rockin' body. The key to building and maintaining a great physique is to form healthy every day habits. In my first article published in FLM, The Butterfly Effect and the Best You, I showed you a sneak peak into the journey of my total body transformation. As my quest continues I have discovered that the greatest factor to my improvement has been in the small changes I have made to my lifestyle. To help you level up, I have compiled a list of my favorite tips that can easily be incorporated into your day. Follow this guide and start creating new healthy habits that the future you will be oh-so proud of.

1. Discover healthy alternatives to your favorite junk foods because eating must remain fun! Do your homework and find out how to reinvent your diet. My favorite hack is swapping soda for mineral water, sweetened with a splash of my favorite juice.

2. Eat raw foods more often. Increase your nutrient intake, improve the appearance of your skin and so much more simply by incorporating more raw foods in your diet. When you eat foods that are alive you will feel more alive!

3. Heal yourself naturally by letting your food be your medicine. Learn about the natural healing benefits of your food and incorporate this knowledge into your daily diet. I like to keep my immune system strong by adding a sprinkle of turmeric to my meals throughout the day.

4. Start your mornings right with lemon water. This boosts energy, aids in weight loss and digestion, strengthens the immune system and rejuvenates your skin… just to name a few!

5. Hold yourself accountable with Map My Fitness. Log every workout, map your running routes, record your nutrition and connect with your friends. This app is a personal favorite of mine and helps me stay motivated, conquer my goals and keeps me feeling accomplished and healthy!

6. Just GO even when you are feeling lazy. As my dad always says, "Dress up. Show up and things are going to happen!" If I'm feeling sluggish, I put on my work out clothes and go to the gym anyways. It's impossible not to work out once I arrive.

7. Treat yo self because you deserve it! Reinforce your healthy habits by rewarding yourself for your hard work. Put a dollar in a jar every time you work out and when you reach $100 go buy yourself that outfit you've been eyeing.

8. Stay inspired with healthy media! For an extended version of this list visit my website Kelsie'sKaleidoscope.com. For more motivational tips and tricks subscribe to my blog and follow me on Pinterest and FaceBook. See you there!
