2. Skin Tightening with Venus Legacy
The radio frequency (RF) energy of Venus Legacy has quickly become a fantastic stand-alone or combination treatment to tighten the skin, reduce cellulite and refine body contours for our patients at The Few Institute. It works by (painlessly) generating heat under the skin, which stimulates collagen and increases elastin production.
The beautiful thing about the Venus Legacy treatment is that it feels like a hot stone massage and provides quick results — the perfect rejuvenating treatment right before a special event or holiday. For long-term results, most patients require 4 to 8 treatments 1 to 2 weeks apart, followed by 1 maintenance treatment every 3 months.
As a combination treatment, we frequently use Venus Legacy with CoolSculpting (as previously mentioned) to smooth away the appearance of cellulite. We also combine it with certain surgical procedures — liposuction, tummy tuck, facelift — to enhance aesthetic outcomes. Not only does it tighten treatment area skin, but it also reduces swelling for less downtime.
Venus Legacy itself requires no downtime and is completely pain-free.
3. Cellulite Solution with Cellfina
Creams, suction and massage techniques only go so far in helping to address the lumps and bumps characteristic of cellulite. Filling a widely anticipated need for dramatic cellulite reduction is this newer technology — Cellfina.
We are one of the first practices in the world exclusively selected to offer Cellfina, the only FDA-cleared minimally invasive procedure clinically proven to treat the underlying causes of cellulite on the thighs and buttocks for a minimum of one year — the longest FDA clearance for a cellulite treatment. What’s great about Cellfina is that you only need a single 45-minute minimally invasive treatment to see significant, rapid improvement in the appearance of cellulite. Downtime? That’s limited too.
Cellfina works by treating the root of the problem. Cellulite is caused primarily by tissue (septae) that connects skin to muscle, which squeezes fat and creates the dimpling we associate with it. Cellfina releases the septae using a tiny blade just 6 millimeters under the skin. There’s no bleeding, only minimal (if any) downtime and the only telltale sign of treatment may be minimal bruising.
