Looking ahead, what are the future goals for Chicago Chefs Cook? Are there new partnerships, causes, or cities you hope to bring into the fold?

We’ll always respond to crises — that’s who we are. But we’re also turning our attention to regenerative agriculture and the integrity of our food systems. Chefs share a common goal: ensuring that our food is clean, responsibly sourced, and produced with respect for the land and for future generations. I see a future where chefs take a larger leadership role in sustainability and food advocacy — and where Chicago Chefs Cook expands to other cities to amplify our impact.

After all the meals, missions, and moments of service — what has this journey taught your team about the deeper meaning of food and the power of feeding others?

Food is the great commonality of humanity. It brings people together, preserves cultures, and creates the moments around the table that build relationships — the kind that can truly change the world.
