Food might be my favorite topic of discussion. I mean, who doesn’t like to eat? It seems like my world revolves around food in one way or another. The two photos on the previous page have significant meaning as it relates to me and food. In one of the photos, I’m sitting at the judges table during the first season of Guys Grocery Games with some culinary giants like Richard Blais, Catherine McCord, and of course Guy Fieri himself. I was so impressed and blown away by the chef contestants on the Food Network show, as they competed in cooking challenges and was only allowed to use specific ingredients to create a dish. Their creativity and culinary skills got better and better with each challenge and it was certainly an experience for me to taste and critique dish after dish on set.

The other photo is from my new favorite restaurant Bosq located in Aspen, Colorado. I had the pleasure of dining at Bosq this past summer and it was hands down the best dining experience I had in 2021. Chef Barclay Dodge is genius with his farm-to-table concept as he creates seasonal dishes with ingredients he sources from local farms and from foraging through the woods. If you’re ever in Aspen, you must check out Bosq and splurge on their food experience.

This month’s food issue not only highlights dishes we love, but we also share recipes that you may want to try that will shake up this year’s Thanksgiving menu. Enjoy FLM November and stay hungry my friends!
