ne of the big
questions leading
into the 2020
election was how the outcome would impact stocks, portfolios, 401k plans and the like.
Frankly, the election results have had little impact on the markets. The biggest factor right now is Covid-19; the week before the election the market had some of its worst performance days going back to late winter/early Covid-19 days. Why? Because the number of infections and deaths were increasing every day that week.
This week the markets saw a huge spike because of the Pfizer announcement of a 90% trial success with a potential vaccine. So the election’s anticipation and results have not had the type of impact so many analyst thought it would. Covid-19 is the item driving more activity in the financial markets than any other single factor, including the election.
