There are a lot of chefs known just for their food and a few chefs known only for their style. But rarely do you find a combination of both qualities uniquely bundled into one chef. No one can deny that Chef Carla Hall is undoubtedly leading all other chefs when it comes to cuisine and charm. She has become one of the most recognizable chefs on the planet, partly due to her successful run on the hit TV show Top Chef, but mainly because she’s a Rockstar both in and out of the kitchen. She’s a cast member on the Emmy winning TV show The Chew, has written a few cookbooks and recently opened a new restaurant in the Washington D.C. area where she currently lives with her husband. Her rise to culinary fame was no accident, as she decided to part ways from corporate America to pursue her other passions, which ultimately landed her in a great place. I was excited to meet Carla during the James Beard Awards this past year and got to witness her style and kindness first hand. If you’re already a Carla Hall fan then you already know what I’m talking about and this interview will make you love her even more. For newcomers to the Carl Hall bandwagon…welcome aboard.
