Thanksgiving Day, USA.

This holiday is about eating as much turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes as you possibly can, so if you don't like those foods, then this is probably not the holiday for you.

Nov 28th-29th

Monkey Buffet Festival Lopburi, Thailand.

Four thousand kilograms of fruit and other foods are gathered in front of temples for the 3000 or so monkeys who live in this region of Thailand. The festival also consists of music, dance and art all celebrating the monkeys. Is there any reason not to go?

Dec 5th.

Klausjagen, Kussanacht, Switzerland.

This celebration involves a parade that chases after Santa Claus with whips and cow bells to begin celebrating Christmas. Yes, you read that correctly.

Dec. 5th-8th

Fête Des Lumières. Lyon, France.

Incredible light shows illuminate the city during these three nights. You don’t want to miss this.

Dec. 7th

Quema de Diablo, Guatemala. The festival literally means, burning of the devil, and that is exactly what those partaking in it do. Leading up to the festival, stores and markets sell paper devils to be burned during the festival.

Nov 11th.

Diwali. Nationwide in India. (Though some regions celebrate at different times.) Believers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism celebrate some form of this festival of lights.
