Monica Opincar lives her peaceful creative life in a tiny cabin up a dirt road amidst the Piney Woods with her husband, three dogs, and cat. While her children have grown and moved out on their own, they continue adventuring outdoors together whenever possible. Monica’s current pursuits include art, building their family homestead, and maintaining their wildlife preserve. Monica graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and spent many gratifying years raising her family in the suburbs as an elementary school and art teacher. Eating a Paleo diet, practicing zen meditation daily, and learning yoga have been positive life changers for Monica. She loves hiking, backpacking, and camping and hopes to inspire people to experience nature outdoors also!
