ome women
walk into a
room and
immediately shift its energy. Not through volume or performance, but through presence. Mar Soraparu is one of those women.
At first glance, you notice the obvious, her elegance, effortless style, and quiet confidence. She carries herself with a level of grace that feels both aspirational and approachable. But as I got to know Mar beyond the polished exterior, it became clear that what truly makes her remarkable lies far beneath the surface.
Brilliantly creative, deeply driven, and fueled by purpose, Mar is a woman who has mastered the balance between ambition and intention. A mother of three, University of California, Los Angeles graduate, executive coach, and co-founder of BIÂN, Mar’s journey has been one of evolution, resilience, and bold reinvention.
Though she once envisioned building her future in Los Angeles, life had other plans. After meeting her husband, Mar made the intentional decision to return home to Chicago, a move that would ultimately position her to help create something far greater than she initially imagined.
With BIÂN, Mar has helped redefine what modern wellness can look like: elevated, intentional, community-driven, and rooted in excellence. The concept is a direct reflection of who she is—a visionary committed to creating meaningful experiences that inspire transformation from the inside out.
As she continues navigating the demands of leadership, entrepreneurship, and motherhood, Mar remains grounded in authenticity while radiating a beauty and confidence that extends far
beyond aesthetics. Her impact is undeniable, not only in the spaces she creates, but in the
women she empowers along the way.
For our Women’s Issue, we are proud to shine a spotlight on Mar Soraparu, a woman whose journey reminds us that success is not simply about what you build, but how you build it, who you uplift in the process, and the legacy you leave behind.
