she built an empire across multiple locations. She was an early adopter of the Miami real estate boom, purchasing properties along Ocean Drive before it became a world-famous destination. She had the foresight to buy land along the Miami River when it was little more than a rough, industrial waterway, and her investments would later contribute to the transformation of these areas into some of the most sought-after real estate in the country.

Her influence extended beyond business. Virginia was a pioneering athlete at a time when women's sports were still an afterthought. She played on a semi-pro basketball team, long before the landmark Title IX legislation expanded athletic opportunities for women.

When it comes to longevity and leading a long, healthy, happy life, it may be partially due to Virginia’s lack of imbibing in both cigarettes and alcohol as well as having a disdain for drugs, abstaining from all medications. She prefers living a simple, holistic lifestyle and hates hospitals. She has outlived most of her family, but her glamorous grandmother, Ursula Buckley Sampson in Worcester, Massachusetts became her female figure she looked up to.

Yet, for all her business success, Virginia's greatest legacy is her family. She integrated her children into her ventures, building a multigenerational empire.
