FLM: The motto of your new collection Millennial Mom is ‘stay resilient’ how do you manifest that motto into your personal and professional life.

BA: I created the Resiliency Collection in the spirit of resiliency. The purpose of the collection is to inspire women to stay the course. Stay grounded. Stay focused. Stay open. To stay resilient. I bring this resilient state of mind into my personal and professional endeavors as a means of motivation. I’ve learned in life that there will always be trials, but it is how we maneuver through those trials that strengthen us to carry on. My mother has always told me, how can you have a testimony if you’ve never had a test? This collection– the Resiliency Collection– is my testimony.

FLM: What 3 major goals would you like to achieve in the next five years and what advice would you give to a younger Bria?

BA: Three goals that I would like to achieve in the next five years are to:

Complete my PhD program. I am currently in the final phases of my research study. Upon completion, I will have my doctorate in Higher Education and Leadership. My goal is to engage in leadership opportunities within a higher education setting.

Continue to grow my brand and business, Millennial Mom. I’ve had the opportunity to connect with many amazing individuals throughout my journey as a business owner. I’m also very excited to continue to utilize this platform to create and share products that are meaningful to me as a Millennial Mom.

To live in perfect harmony of genuine love and prosperity with the people I love the most. I want to continue to grow as a nurturing mother and a supportive wife, and I hope to create a legacy that leaves my footprints on the sands of time.

My advice to my younger self would be to live out loud without fear or regret. To go after everything that my heart desires. I would tell my younger self that I belong in every single room that I am standing in, and I am made to take up space in those rooms. I would tell her to slow down and embrace each moment that comes, and that she doesn’t have to pretend to be strong– that she will truly find her strength once she finds the confidence to step into her purpose.
