Alayna is the mom of two boys and has had a career in Luxury Retail for 25 years, having worked in L.A., Las Vegas and Chicago for Dior, Armani, Brioni, & Max Mara. She is currently Store Manager at Pomellato, beautifully handcrafted Italian fine jewelry. She is also cofounder of Little Diners Crew and Teen Diner’s Crew; a dining club for kids/teens whose mission is to expand kids’ palates beyond mac-and-cheese and chicken tenders.

My mom has always been my biggest inspiration. Watching her balance work, predominantly as a single mom, and making time for me growing up. I know it could not have been easy. She was a true professional, had great style, was always on the clock however had the ability to be present with me. My stepmother was the same (both named Diane btw!). I was witness to such dedication to their careers and amazing work ethic. They seemed to juggle both career and family effortlessly, although now that I am a mom, working on trying to balance everything, I’m sure there were many tears, sleepless nights, guilt and a lot of stress. As moms we definitely need to be kinder and more forgiving with ourselves, knowing that we are doing our best.
Sports/exercise is my release and keeps me fit. It helps clear my mind, relax, feel stronger and healthier. I’ve taken up cycling and I feel free and unstoppable on my bike, like It’s preparing me to take on anything. I also enjoy boxing, throwing the football around or playing baseball or basketball with my boys. Any sport really!
