I get my inspiration from all the moms juggling work and kids... and everything in between. I especially look to other single mothers and moms of boys... who start early in the morning... trekking kids to sports practices, doctors’ appointments, chaperoning field trips, attending parent teacher conferences and school plays... all before they pull themselves together to go to their "other" job. When I get tired or feel overwhelmed, I remind myself that I'm not the first to do it. I work to get “me” time whenever I can… by hanging with other moms or by myself, since you can’t pour from an empty cup! I'm surrounded by power moms who work two jobs like me. Both jobs are challenging, fun and rewarding. My first job is with the boys. My second job is

television news.

Power moms are "mom-agers". They manage children and the people surrounding them. They have a calendar... but have it all

backed up in their head.

Early on, I got ALL my inspiration from my mother... who worked long hours in executive leadership as General Counsel at a large corporation. She came home to

make sure my twin sister, dad, and I.... were all taken care of.

She and my dad were a team... and my dad was there for every tennis match or track meet I had.

But I know how to manage it all myself... because SHE did.
