Melanie Redd is a fitness professional in Dayton, Ohio, and the owner of Melanie Redd Performance Training. Specializing in total wellness, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and weight loss, Melanie has been helping clients achieve health and happiness since 2011. She is a practicing lifestyle change/health/fitness coach, has developed injury prevention and performance programs for high school and adult athletes, and has a virtual personal training and corporate wellness app. She’s passionate about helping clients realize their full potential through functional movement, healthy eating, and healthy thought patterns. Melanie is also passionate about travel and incorporating sport, exercise and wellness practices into her adventures.
Sruthi Swaminathan is a Chicago-based neuroscience Ph.D and home chef who currently works as a freelance marketing consultant and food writer. She creates original content for her food blog, Kitchening Around, where she specializes in cooking healthy recipes with unexpected flavor combinations. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her boys Mowgli and Zain, huffing and puffing her way through pilates at the gym, and solo trips with just a carry-on. Heather Reid is a writer, freelance editor, essayist and avid home cook with a particular passion for baking bread. She has a degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and has worked as a newspaper editor and advertising executive with a specialty in digital marketing. Martha Chandran-Dickerson was born in India, raised in Europe and East Africa, and resides in America. As a global citizen, issues concerning identity and justice intrigue her. She eschewed the sciences, and embraced the humanities, initially pursuing journalism, and then eventually evolving into an educator. She is a freelance writer and editor, as well as a bridge-builder, serving as an advisor for BRAVE, and a writer for Blindian Project, a community for Black and South Asians. She is also an administrator for faith-based antiracist organization Be the Bridge. Eventually she hopes to pursue her PhD and write a memoir about her migratory life.
