As the spring temps start to heat up and with summer directly around the corner, we seek to find something that will cool our palates. Look no further than Amorino, an artisanal gelato shop serving traditional Italian gelato in gourmet flavors in a quaint café surrounding.
Amorino’s objective is to make the highest quality gelato as naturally as possible with no artificial colours or flavorings. Their gelato and sorbets are churned every day in typical Italian fashion under the very watchful eyes of their chefs. All recipes consider the need for the gelato to mature, to allow each flavor to develop to its full potential. Flavours include Lampone Heritage (Heritage Raspberry), Banana Nanica from Brésil (Banana), Caramello al Burro Salato (Caramel), and Fragola Camarosa (Strawberry) just to name a few. But Amorino offers many, many more selections. Mom can even create her own Amorino rose combining as many flavors as she wants.
Not really feeling gelato? Then indulge in other sweet treats like milkshakes, waffles, crepes or macarons.
Amorino shops are located all over the world, but you can visit the Chicago location at 838 N. State St. in the heart of the Gold Coast neighborhood.
