The story is filled with humor, love, and Radner’s own words read by comic actors who were all inspired by Radner such as Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy.
O.G.: Madeleine Sackler directs this thought-provoking and poignant film written by Stephen Belber depicting the fictional life of Louis (Jeffrey Wright “Westworld”), a man behind bars, sentenced for 64 years and about to be released after serving 24. Just weeks before the doors are scheduled to open, Louis takes a new, young inmate under his wing, attempting to pass the torch of knowledge, survival and perhaps even the throne in this God-forsaken place, placing his future in jeopardy. It’s a complex film giving keen insight to a group and an infrastructure that most are unfamiliar with. Wright’s beautifully nuanced performance creates a formidable and impactful story not to be missed.
“Terminal 3” was the exceptional VR (Virtual Reality) experience that literally stopped me in my tracks as I experienced what it was like to do an interview with a Muslim immigrant attempting to re-enter our country at an airport. This powerful experience will forever change my understanding and ability to sympathize with others. Thanks to Asad J. Malik for creating this emotionally and cognitively stimulating experience.
