Welcome to our May “wellness” issue. I think nowadays more people are focused on living better, which encompasses a lot of things such as eating better, exercising, relaxing, and maybe seeking therapy. I wanted this month’s issue to highlight overall wellness, because being healthy is a combination of both physical and mental stability. The better we feel on the inside, the more productive lives we will lead. Our wellness can have a direct effect on our attitude, mood, relationships, careers and friendships, and the more good habits we develop the better chance we will have at improving our daily lives.

Wellness is a balance of living healthy, but also knowing how to indulge without over doing it. This issue has a combination of both as we feature celebrity chef Stephanie Izard and her new recipe book along with Biggest Loser Danni Allen’s tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Chef Izard’s new cookbook Gather & Graze has featured recipes that will allow you to indulge on decadent foods that we all crave from time to time, but Danni will help you to maintain your ideal weight. We also discover amazing spas and resorts around the world that will help revive your body, give you our picks on the best healthy beauty products, show you design hacks for your home, and introduce you to a new revolutionary wine purifier that is allowing millions of people to enjoy wine again. If you’ve personally been affected by mental illness, then our feature on athletes breaking the negative stigma surrounding the disease is a must-read story.
