t’s officially spring in places like the Windy City and that means an abundance of beautiful flowers lining the streets, especially on Michigan Avenue, Chicago’s shopping mecca known as the Magnificent Mile. It also means spring cold and flu season and a big jump in allergy symptoms. As you stroll down the tree lined streets in your city admiring the new buds and blossoms, you might notice your eyes start to itch and your nose run. Or if you’re one of the lucky ones, it gets even worse with what starts as a nagging toothache, but turns into feeling like your head will explode. Yes, it’s sinus infection season. Ouch, not a pleasant thought. Many people experience the change of seasons with excitement, while others seem destined to get a cold or the flu. This year say no to snot and head colds and say yes to healthy sinuses. All you have to remember is keep it warm, keep it clean and keep it moist and you can set yourself up for a healthy transition into summer.
