kimono—as a work of art. It all starts with a painting. Some artworks naturally lend themselves to being worn—the colors, the composition, the movement translate beautifully onto fabric. Apparel, for me, is about choosing the right colors to give confidence, to make someone feel like they’re a piece of art. It’s a way of extending my artistic vision beyond the canvas and into everyday life.

What has been the most rewarding moment of your career so far?

There have been many rewarding moments in my career, but a few stand out. Seeing people wear my apparel with confidence—whether at the airport or a coffee shop—always feels special.

Receiving photos of them wearing it for special occasions, like their child's wedding or an important event, is an amazing feeling.

Exhibiting my work—scarves and prints inspired by my paintings—at the MCA Store’s booth at Art Expo Chicago in

2023 was an important moment in my career. I’ve collaborated with the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago for over five years, but seeing my work represented at such a prestigious fair was a proud milestone.

Another was having my wearable art sold at renowned institutions like the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Art Institute of Chicago, and New York Museums. Knowing that my pieces are part of these significant cultural spaces is incredibly meaningful.

Beyond exhibitions, being featured in media outlets such as CS Luxury, Fox TV News,

French magazines and Chicago Gallery News was truly meaningful. It’s always rewarding to see my work recognized and shared.
