What other goals do you want to accomplish as an artist and any advice to those that want to follow in your footsteps?
The first piece of advice I’d give to anyone who wants to be an artist is to first claim to be so. In school or out of school, study the craft, do the work as much and as often as you can. Become disciplined and always remember to play and experiment.
My own personal goals are to take a year or so off from teaching and do more public art. I’d love to explore an art residency. Go somewhere and let somebody pay me to just create! Above all I look forward to learning from and building with the artist community worldwide!
