It appears that you’ve journeyed back home to your roots and are here to stay, that said share your long-term career goals and whether or not you would consider moving back to New York.
The truth is, I’m really happy here. We’re putting down roots, finding friends and community here. I absolutely love getting to anchor with Allison Rosati every night, and I’ve found a really good quality of life that allows me to balance my role as a father, with my work as a storyteller. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still hungry. I would love nothing more than to see us become the number one station in Chicago. I think we have the team that can do it, and I’m grateful to play part in leading that charge. In the same breath, I know that our industry is going through some dramatic changes, and we’re still learning how to navigate a media landscape that will someday be dominated by streaming. Our viewers aren’t leaving, they’re just finding new places to consume our content. I’m certain that we will adapt. My job is to continue to show up, put my head down and just do the work.
