Realistic expectations that clients have when using a matchmaker would be to be open minded to different types of possible ideas for people they are open to meeting. Being open to meeting people in person to see if there is a connection because you can’t always tell from a photo and a profile if there will be chemistry and sparks until you’ve met in person. Being open to different careers, educational backgrounds, religions, and political preferences.
Unrealistic expectations that clients have had when using a matchmaker is that I will find them “the one” on the first introduction. Anyone who’s dated knows you have to meet many people to find the one you are searching for. Not saying I have never made a successful match after one shot but for the most part it takes time. Another would be that I am able to match you with the needle in the haystack. If your list of wants is so narrow most likely it will be difficult for even me to meet those specifications.
