In my younger days I used to be a big fan of “girls’ night out”. This last year of staying home certainly put a damper on the party scene and my social calendar. So, I did what many of you did this year and searched the internet to find love. And love I found.

Fete Lifestyle Magazine friends, fans and first-time readers… meet my lover Kenny! Kenny is a young guy who knows how to get what he wants, and he always wants treats. His older gal pal Miss B is not pictured as she would not sign a photo release, but she’s a woman who lets you know what she doesn’t want. Kenny & B were spotted in a feral colony in Oakland, California last fall by a volunteer from a local feral cat rescue. This addition to my household has “litter”aly changed my life. No more longing for late nights out. I haven’t watched a Netflix marathon in months. I no longer hit the snooze button even once. I know that the moment I open my bedroom door they will hear me and come bouncing happily to greet me, their tails tall with a little bend at the tip and meowing away.

All the images in my cell are of these two, with only one or two sunset or food pics thrown in out of habit. I brush them more than my own hair. We get more deliveries from Chewy than Amazon. Okay really both, but it’s for them. Wands, scratching posts, laser pointer, that flopping fish, and an awesome maze board to hide treats in. The latter we call school time. We are home schooling. Sigh. This is now my greatest source of entertainment, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

But while I’m sitting home obsessed with our cats, the world is starting to open up. For sure, this has been a tough year financially, emotionally, and mentally, for so many. But there are signs of light at the end of the tunnel, so we wanted to remind you about the fun you used to have and will start to have again. Let’s talk entertainment.

By the way… Support programs that trap, neuter, and release feral cats. There are many colony cats that make loving pets…like mine
