Aunt Eulette is extremely proud of the kids that grew up in our town that went on to do productive things. Whether it was going to college, the military, starting a family or business, she always has encouraging words. I’ll never forgot how excited she was when she saw me in a photo with Barack Obama. She said “ I want a copy of that photo!”, and then proceeded to tell me how proud of me she was. At the time, I didn’t really think of it as a big deal, but when I saw her time after time, she would bring it up. I then realized how important it must have been for her to see one of us standing with the first black President of the United States, considering what she saw growing up during her lifetime.

I’m sure that Aunt Eulette has shared many amazing stories with our family, but today I’m sharing her story with the world. My family back in Massillon is planning a huge Covid friendly drive by parade for her in a few weeks that I will sadly miss. We could wait until she turns 100 to celebrate her amazing life, but why wait? 99 ain’t nothing to sneeze at and plus we can do this all over again next year. Happy Birthday Aunt Eulette. We Love You!
