Fans flocked to see Chicagoan Kyle Prater’s new film Shifting Gears II. The 26-year old former NFL player debut the 20-minute film, which is directed and produced by Prater. Shifting Gears II follows his journey of “life after football” and how filmmaking, giving back to the community and coaching has become a motivating force in his life. Moderated by local Chicago CBS sportscaster Dionne Miller, a Q&A with Prater and former Chicago Bear Matt Forte (also in the film) followed in addition to a VIP reception benefiting the What’s Your Forte Foundation.
INDISTRY TV, a first-of-its kind subscription streaming service, hosted the special screening at ArcLight Cinemas Chicago in New City. Indistry TV is “THE” distribution platform that champions emerging talent in TV, film and music to help showcase their work.
The What’s Your Forte Foundation was established in 2013 by NFL player Matt Forte and his wife Danielle and was designed to uplift, impact and empower today's youth through community, education and mentorship.
