You might be asking yourself what dreams and true desires of the heart have to do with this quote.
The answer is, everything! Our dreams, what we would love to do, be, have and see in our lives, give us a blueprint for our life’s purpose. In Rumi’s quote, he compares our human work with a purpose that has been divinely appointed. To sum it up, everyone comes into this world to do a particular task, and that is their purpose. If they do not perform it, then it is as if they have done nothing.
We all know that there is not one person on this earth that is exactly you. Every one of us has a unique set of skills, talents, interests and dreams. Since we are all unique, we each bring something unique to the world. Even our uniqueness is expressed into our dreams! Let me give you an example.
