Day Three:

Kensington Cool & Unexpected Finds

Kensington Market

I love discovering neighborhoods or areas of a city that is off the beaten path. It was recommended that I check out Kensington Market and I’m so glad we did. On our final morning, we headed there to explore the gritty, eclectic neighborhood beloved by locals. It’s a patchwork of vintage stores, world cuisine, and indie culture. I even spotted a Bowling Green State University sweatshirt tucked into a vintage shop—a surreal little reminder of my alma mater.

We popped into Café Marallo, where Armenian-Canadian owner Raffi shared stories of community, culture, and nightly live music that fills the streets. His café’s Armenian coffee and pastries were a perfect farewell to this spirited district. The only regret I had about visiting Kensington Market is not having enough time to hang out longer.
