about new cultures, expanding your worldview, trying unfamiliar foods, and stepping outside your comfort zone. Of course, it’s not all sunshine and souvenirs. There are also hurdles, like budgeting before the trip and dealing with lingering expenses afterward.
In my January article, I shared tips on how to budget for a trip—or any big purchase—without making your daily life feel restricted. Now, I want to talk about how to budget during your trip, so that post-travel bills don’t ruin the memories of a wonderful experience.
I love planning trips months in advance. Booking flights and hotels early gives me time to spread out expenses, often long before I even start packing. Breaking down trip costs into categories—and separating them by timing—helps me manage my money more effectively.
