Founder and health
& wellness
entrepreneur,
Amy Holmwood,
created the
company with the
aim of helping
consumers drink
better. When faced without an alternative drinking option that spoke to her health consciousness, she decided to create her own. In a space traditionally dominated by men, Amy’s story is not only one of innovation, but of female empowerment and outsized entrepreneurship.
Amy comes by her passions honestly; her paternal Great Grandfather was a beer industry mogul who oversaw Canadian Breweries, Ltd, now under the Molson Coors umbrella, and her maternal Great Grandmother was the pioneering industrial engineer Lillian Gilbreth, who was known to say: “Be a genius at the art of living.” Having overcome a series of health issues when she was young including asthma, premature aging, arthritis and Lyme Disease by using holistic
methods, Amy became interested in natural healing and nutrition, biohacking and nutrigenomics. Holmwood holds a Nutrition Sciences Certification from the Stanford Center for Health Education, and a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology Enterprise from Johns Hopkins University.
Origen Vodka is a beautifully and naturally pink color from the combination of raw superfoods. The base spirit, a 100% gluten-free, white wheat base vodka, was chosen for its exceptional purity, mouthfeel and higher antioxidant properties. Holistic Spirits Co. made its debut at the DIO LA Open (LPGA) at Wilshire Country Club, and the JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes Golf Club (LPGA) in April and May. The Clubs featured Origen Vodka in their club houses and the cocktail of
choice was the ‘Holistic Hole-In-One’ – a refreshing riff on a ‘Greyhound’ featuring Origen, tonic water, grapefruit juice and bitters.
