We visited Tasmania’s most photographed view, Wineglass Bay, located within Freycinet National Park and bordered with pink granite peaks. Its name comes from 18th century whaling. When the whaling stations operated there, the water in the bay turned red with the slaughtered creatures’ blood and it looked like a glass being filled with red wine from the lookout point. We also visited several other national parks and experienced the extraordinarily diverse natural beauty ranging from eucalyptus temperate rainforest to

alpine

moorland.

Looking through old pictures, it

reminded me of the extraordinary wildlife and dramatic scenery in Tasmania with its rugged mountains and cliffs in contrast with the ancient rainforest and white-sand bays – such dramatic nature! It grows with 3000-year-old endemic trees, tumbling waterfalls and historic Aboriginal sites hidden amidst them! If you are also a nature lover, and would love to

experience one of the most astounding natural beauties of the world, don’t miss Tasmania!
