Welcome back world! Or at least to part of the world. I can see and feel the excitement in the air when I venture outside in Chicago. There is a pep in people’s steps and a glide in their stride. Folks are attempting to get back to the things that they were used to doing prior to the pandemic. Restaurants are at capacity, churches are packed, parks are a buzz, and airplane seats are filled. This is something to celebrate…cautiously I might add, because we are all still a little shell-shocked mentally from what we went through the past 15 months. But, I think we’re ready!
For many of you it’s time to get on the road. Personally, I’m headed to see my dad in Ohio for Father’s Day. I’ll then make a trip to Charlotte, NC for our annual family reunion and on to Aspen for business late summer. I think the next few months will be epic and will make up for the many months that we lost just living life. What’s your plan?
I hope our June travel issue will help motivate you to get out and about whether you’re planning a luxury vacation, a getaway on a budget, or an intimate gathering with family and friends. I think that we all now realize and believe that life is truly short, so take advantage of whatever opportunities you may have to explore and go for it.
