Preventative treatments Dr. Cohen suggests in combating diseases such as Alzheimer’s and to ensure overall brain wellness and longevity include:

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) which is breathing in oxygen under higher than normal pressure, is standard treatment for many diseases where hypoxia (low oxygen in body tissues) is a factor. Abnormally low oxygen levels in the brain have a clear association with Alzheimer’s.

A 2019 study showed that an 8-week course of HBOT treatments reversed the symptomatic decline of a 58-year old woman diagnosed with rapidly progressing Alzheimer’s dementia in the 8 months prior. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for Alzheimer's dementia with positron emission tomography imaging: a case report.

HBOT chambers used for treatments must be medical/hospital grade and not the “soft chambers” which are not FDA approved and have little to no benefit. Outside of the handful of hospitals, Dr. Cohen has the only “stand alone” HBOT center in Chicago, open 7 days a week. In fact, he treats some of Chicago’s top professional athletes.

IV Vitamin Therapy

Intravenous Vitamin Therapy (IV Therapy), can help replenish the body with much-needed essentials and treat a multitude of health conditions such as chronic fatigue, anxiety, Multiple Sclerosis, migraines, asthma, fibromyalgia, etc. Delivered directly into the bloodstream, it completely circumvents the digestive process, allowing vitamins to be directly absorbed into cells. These vital nutrients of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids can mitigate the risk of any condition developing in the first place.

“My father passed away from Alzheimer's at age 76 so this disease has touched me and because of it, I treat all of my patients and their families with empathy and understanding. We live in an aging society and are living longer than ever before. With individuals living an average of 78 years in the US, the brain’s life has been extended longer than ever before and is therefore, more prone to age-related diseases. I am committed to introducing preventative measures so that we can maintain a healthy brain as we age.”

Dr. Cohen’s IV vitamin suite, The RevIVeDoc, features a variety of infusions to treat conditions such as migraines, brain fog, fertility, etc.

Dr. Cohen will be launching a free e-book titled Modern Brain Longevity: Understanding Brain Health in a Complex World on June 20th.
