raveling is one of my favorite activities, right up there with cuddling puppies and trying new food. I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit internationally, but recently I have a newfound awe of how much there is to see at home here in the US.

It started with taking road trips with my dog Mowgli when I lived in Connecticut. Mowgli and I hiked in parks all over New England. He visited Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, the cliff walk in Newport, Rhode Island, and chased swans in Massachusetts. He walked along the Hudson River and romped in the leaves in Litchfield, CT. He walked through New York City and has peed on campus at nearly every Ivy League school. Mowgli’s road trips didn’t just span the east coast. He’s wandered the streets of Cincinnati, Chicago, Atlanta, and Milwaukee, run free on beaches and forest preserves, and up and down the stairs of plenty of Airbnbs in Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina and Kentucky.
