Start with Neutral Basics!
These items can be worn with multiple combinations in very different ways depending on what your travel plans are. Think blacks, grays, and whites. By pairing these pieces with different accessories and layers you can rock the same neutral basics multiple different ways for totally new looks - hello space saver!
Layers are Key!
I always recommend packing an assortment of different weight jackets, sweaters, and scarves on trips for layering. This way you’re sure to have the right piece for a variety of weather and events. Layers are also the perfect way to add in fun pops of texture, print and color to your travel wardrobe!
Keep a Cohesive Color Scheme!
Come up with a color scheme and stick to it so that your pieces can easily be mix-and-matched throughout your trip. Look in your closet and choose a color scheme that you’re drawn to and try to build around some of your favorite “must bring” items! Don’t forget to pull the colors into your accessories to make mixing and matching super easy!
Accessories take any look from Day to Night!
When it comes to shoes plan for comfort, multi-use and necessity. Overpacking shoes is the quickest way to fill up a suitcase! I like to include one statement shoe that can take all of the looks up a notch and at least one super comfortable option. Add in fun accessories that you can play around with on your trip like jewelry, sunglasses, hats, belts, and bags. Accessories are the glue that pulls looks together, so don’t skimp on fun options in this department. They take up much less space and can instantly change your vibe!
