Things get dirty really fast in limited space. You have to clean every dish (otherwise you’ll get those tiny, crazy ants) It’s better if you just leave your shoes outside the door. But always check for spiders the next day. You MUST flush and empty the black water tank! You don’t want THAT backing up. EEeeew!

All that aside, we have seen some beautiful country. Chattanooga, Tennessee and Monteagle. Monteagle is a stretch of highway 24 between Chattanooga and Nashville that goes over a huge mountain. You have to endure five miles of a 5% grade going up and four miles of a 5% grade going down…double check your brakes before you take on this challenge. I was a nervous wreck but we made and it and it truly was breathtaking. Lush green trees, gorgeous Kudzu vines and wildflowers line the roads. Almost like a scene from the Sound of Music ….the hills are alive ….fa la la la aaaaa.

One thing we did learn is that if you do your research, you can find RV parks with free wifi, cable, beautifully manicured and landscaped. Many are loaded with amenities. We even stayed at one in Georgia that had showers and bathrooms as beautiful as a 5 star hotel. It was lovely. It had air-conditioning, it was clean as a pin and it offered all the hotel type toiletries and a blow-dryer. But do your research because you can also find the polar opposite. A steamy room with spiders lurking in the corners and dark dingy showers. NOTE- Wear shower shoes!!!

We have been in our RV for one month now. So, it’s no longer like a vacation. It’s like living in a tiny-house. One way I have found to cope with the ups and downs of living and traveling this way is to write about it. I have started a new blog about this great RV adventure. It’s therapeutic to write and helps me through the rough times. They tell me our house will be built in about 4 to 5 months. It can’t happen fast enough. ~Susan
