describe
intuition as a
gut feeling or inner knowing that provides guidance before logic has caught up. Psychology understands intuition is the brain’s ability to process
experiences, emotions, and subtle patterns outside of conscious awareness. I have learned that intuition is God’s communication and guidance
system within us. Learning to trust and strengthen your
internal compass can help you make decisions with greater
confidence and authenticity.
Creating space for inner awareness is an essential first step to honing your intuition. Today, life is filled with noise, distractions, and constant stimulation. Intuition speaks quietly and often gets drowned out. One of the most effective ways to strengthen intuitive awareness is to spend time in silence.
Meditation, deep breathing, prayer, journaling, sitting in silence, or simply taking a walk without headphones can create the mental space necessary for insights to emerge. Just ten minutes of quiet reflection each day can help you become more attuned to your thoughts and emotions.
The next step in tapping into your intuitive nature is paying attention to your body. Our bodies are magnificent electromagnetic transmitters and receivers of information that detect stress, safety, and emotional signals from the environment before our minds fully process them. Notice how your body responds in different situations and settings.
The next time you are considering a decision, meeting someone new or experiencing a new place, pay attention to how your body responds. Try asking yourself yes and no questions spoken aloud. Then wait for your body to respond. Do you notice a tense or constricted feeling? Does your body feel calm or expansive?
