There are certain seasons in life that stay with us forever, and for me, summer has always been one of them.

As a kid, the last day of school wasn't just the end of a school year, it was the beginning of endless possibilities. Summer meant riding bikes, meeting friends at the park, day camp, celebrating the Fourth of July, enjoying backyard barbecues, and gathering family for reunions.

Some of my favorite memories were the simplest ones. On warm evenings, my cousins and I would run through my grandmother's yard catching fireflies as the sun held on well past 9 o'clock. The days felt endless, the pace was slower, and every moment seemed to carry a sense of adventure. Looking back, what I remember most isn't where we went or how much money was spent, it's how summer made us feel. It felt easy. It felt joyful. It felt free.

As adults, summer looks a little different.

Our calendars fill quickly with work deadlines, youth sports, family obligations, and the countless responsibilities that come with building careers and raising families. The season that once felt carefree now requires a little more planning.

Yet somehow, summer still works its magic.

We create new memories through weekend getaways, neighborhood festivals, evenings on restaurant patios, concerts in the park, vacations with loved ones, and spontaneous adventures that remind us to slow down and appreciate the moment. We discover that there isn't one perfect way to experience summer because joy looks different for everyone. For some, it's traveling the world. For others, it's finding peace in their own backyard, entertaining friends at home, or simply enjoying a beautiful evening with the people they love.

That's exactly what inspired this issue of Fete Lifestyle Magazine.

Our Summer Joy & Ease issue celebrates the many ways people are embracing the season and creating lives they love. From Carrie McCormick's thoughtful perspective on what truly makes a home luxurious to stories celebrating travel, dining, design, and experiences that enrich our lives, this issue is a reminder that the best moments often aren't the grandest—they're the ones that bring us together.

However you choose to spend your summer, I hope you find time to unplug, make memories, embrace new experiences, and soak in everything this season has to offer.

We hope this issue inspires you to discover your own version of summer joy and ease.

Here's to sunshine, laughter, unforgettable moments, and an incredible summer.
