Sport climbing is another sport that debuted in Tokyo and continues to draw interest for its combination of strength, speed, and strategy. This sport is divided into three disciplines: speed climbing, where athletes race up a fixed route; bouldering, which involves climbing short but challenging routes without ropes; and lead climbing, where climbers aim to reach the highest point on a wall within a time limit.
