Cycling is

shaking up the

indoor cycling world, challenging the TikTok trends and 'superstar' instructor phenomena that dominate the industry with crazy performances that ignore the customer. Founded by the renowned Melissa Power (certifying over 600 instructors), Cadence focuses on inclusive, well-programmed accessible classes, for everyone from beginners to seasoned cyclists, while still maintaining the ‘party on a bike’ style spin is known for.

TimeOut praised Cadence for "doing things differently” as #1 on their “Best Classes in London” because they offer safer cadences/rhythm and tempo paired with more doable choreography moves. Scientifically programmed as a group fitness class first, not a 'dance party' first, classes are designed by actual fitness experts (not dancers/performers putting on a show and not working you out!) In contrast, the safer cadence is designed to give the rider actual results in both increased cardio fitness and strength.

"Our classes are fitness first, incorporating dancing on a bike, but not to the detriment of solid training and riding safely. Traditional spin instructors treat the class as one entity, yet our studio treats people as individuals. We are creating the workout first and then finding the correct music tempo to match, rather than choosing the new Miley song and finding a workout to match." says Power. “We are adjusting the class based on who is coming in rather than alienating people who do not come back, as we cater to all levels. We program for the least able person in the room and scale up, announcing what beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders should be doing.”

Cadence Indoor Cycling is a London-based fitness studio founded by Melissa Power. Known for its scientifically programmed and accessible classes, Cadence has quickly become a leader in the indoor cycling community. The studio offers a welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of fitness level, can enjoy a safe and effective workout.

Cadence's approach has earned it accolades from top publications. Women's Health named it one of the best spin classes, GQ has featured it prominently, and TimeOut praised Cadence for "doing things differently” when naming it number one on their “Best Classes in London” list.

Through her Indoor Cycling Academy, aptly named MPowered, Melissa has certified hundreds of indoor cycling instructors, setting new standards for the industry. Her CIMSPA-rated "Enhancing" course ensures that instructors are equipped with knowledge and skills to lead safe and effective classes.

While the MPowered Academy is making waves and set for a global expansion, the heart of Melissa's mission remains at Cadence. "We are not about the flash and glamour often seen on social media. Our focus is on real, transformative fitness experiences that genuinely improve the health and well-being of our members. It’s incredibly important to train for longevity." she adds.
